

One Body One Source (OBOS), also known as Nehemiah Economic Development Association, is a North Carolina–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping opportunity youth and underserved adults with the skills, direct aid support, and support needed to thrive in today's workforce.
Through Krafty Academy, our flagship workforce development initiative, OBOS delivers pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship-aligned training, and community-based learning experiences designed to meet local labor needs while restoring dignity, stability, and purpose.
What We Offer
Krafty Academy is not a traditional classroom. We're a workforce development ecosystem where you:

• GET CERTIFIED - Earn OSHA 10, CPSS, CNA prep, and industry-recognized credentials
• GET SUPPORTED - Access mental health services, case management, and wraparound support

Program Design & Cultural Curriculum Partner
Hip-Hop Healing Institute (HHHI) serves as a key collaborator supporting Krafty Academy and related initiatives through:
Cultural curriculum development
Trauma-informed engagement strategies
Peer-support and direct aid support workforce design
Youth and community-based wellness frameworks
HHHI’s role centers on program design, cultural competency, and participant engagement, complementing OBOS’s workforce and apprenticeship infrastructure.
This collaboration ensures programs are both labor-market aligned and culturally responsive, increasing retention, outcomes, and long-term success.


Community engagement fosters social cohesion by promoting dialogue, understanding, and collaboration among community members. It helps build trust between One Body One Source (OBOS) and the community, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all stakeholders involved.
