About Us

One Body One Source (OBOS) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship and educational programs. Founded in 2022 by Tirrell Summers, MBA, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, OBOS aimed to address the growing mentorship gap and lack of role models for children from underserved communities.

One of the new board members, Ken Jones, a dedicated man of faith with deep history in community activism, identified a problem with today’s labor market and those lived in socio-economic hardships education to gain skill trades. Ken Jones, a construction apprentice many years ago, produced a solution to address the challenges of the community who endure socio-economic hardships faced. After deep discussion with prominent community leaders to ensure the program would address labor shortage and gaps in our community, Krafty Academy Apprenticeship Program was born. In addition to adding the new apprenticeship program to the organization, the board of directors voted on a name change of Nehemiah Economic Development Association.

Earned various certifications including Leadership, Advanced Leadership, Six Sigma Green Belt, and many more.
